As an accomplished actor in film and television, Carin Moffat has appeared in a multitude of popular productions. Her extensive film experience includes AVENGING ANGELO with Oscar © winner Anthony Quinn and Madeline Stowe, working with Mathew Modine and Kristin Davis in THE WINNING SEASON, Marcia Gay Harden in LABOR OF LOVE, and Emmy Award winner Charles Dutton in MAYDAY. In the television domain, she was most recently seen in the new and critically acclaimed CBC series THE BORDER, guest starring as the unscrupulous arms dealer Erica Styles. Her other notable television performances include the Showtime series DEAD LIKE ME, 1-800-MISSING with Vivica A. Fox, NIGHT VISIONS with Bill Pullman, and Ken Finkleman’s FOREIGN OBJECTS. Most known for her range, she has also guest starred on Sci-Fi favorites STARGATE SG-1, JERIMIAH and STARHUNTER.
In addition to her film and television work, she has appeared in numerous theatrical productions ranging from Classical works like William Shakespeare’s HAMLET and MACBETH, to John Patrick Shanley’s SAVAGE IN LIMBO, to musicals like WEST SIDE STORY.
A native of Toronto, Canada, Carin is of Swedish-Scottish decent and is the youngest of two. She studied English and Drama at the University of Western Ontario and went on to further her training at the prestigious Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, studying under Richard Pinter. Carin has lived and worked in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Vancouver. She currently resides in Toronto.
